The Intermountain Health Matchett Park Clinic is set to open its doors on Monday, Sept. 28, expanding access to physical therapy, rehabilitation, and wellness services for residents across the Western Slope. Located inside the new Grand Junction Community Recreation Center at 2836 Recreation Way, the clinic aims to provide a seamless transition from treatment to ongoing physical activity for patients.
The new facility will offer a range of services, including comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitation. This encompasses aquatic therapy and specialized rehabilitation for primary care and orthopedic-related conditions. Therapists at the clinic will focus on helping patients with recovery after surgery, rehabilitation following injuries, effective pain management strategies, and improving overall strength and mobility. O'Donnell highlighted that after completing their therapy, patients will have the option to continue exercising and building strength by utilizing the recreation center’s facilities or another gym of their choosing.
Further enhancing this community health partnership, Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital will provide free wellness classes and educational programs. These offerings are designed to help Grand Valley residents stay active, prevent injuries, and make informed decisions about their health.
